Dear Friends and Neighbors:
During my 25 years spent in and around courtrooms - eleven years right here in Santa Cruz County - I developed a passion for justice and learned much about what it takes to be a great judge. Our bench here is full of smart talented judges, with the court composed of eight men and two women.
One of our judges is expected to retire this spring and I decided to throw my briefcase in the ring: to ask you - the voters of Santa Cruz County - to take a close look at the candidates and their qualifications, because I think you'll find I have the right combination of education, experience and community dedication to effectively represent our community as a judge.
Throughout my career I have worked hard as an attorney, educator, and dedicated community volunteer to develop the skills and experience necessary to be an effective judge. My experience in these areas include:
- Eleven years as Assistant District Attorney in Santa Cruz County
- Four years as an Assistant District Attorney in North Carolina
- Four years as an Assistant United States Attorney in Washington D.C.
- Guest lecturer at attorney training seminars (civil and criminal) in California, North Carolina and nationally
- Adjunct Professor at Wake Forest University School of Law
- Member, Board of Directors, New Life Services, Inc.
- Member, Board of Directors, Shakespeare Santa Cruz
- Founder, Project Pajamas
To be successful in this campaign I will need your help. I am asking for your vote and that you support me by endorsing my campaign for Superior Court Judge in Santa Cruz County.
Sincerely,

Ariadne "Ari" Symons

In prosecuting my case in connection with my drug addiction Ms Symons went above and beyond the call of duty to find an
equitable solution. Her compassion and humanity changed my life and my family’s life forever." - Perry Zimmerman Read Perry's story HERE |
"Ari Symons is most qualified to be
Judge of the Superior Court. Her
superior academic record, exceptional
courtroom experience - including
over 200 jury trials - and her deep
sense of fairness and justice are
unmatched and much needed on the
bench. I heartily endorse her for judge
here in Santa Cruz County." - Nick Drobac, former Presiding Judge
of the Superior Court
